Fevzi Çetin was born in 1986 and comes from the predominantly Kurdish city of Urfa in Turkey. He is very politically active and also interested in literature; since his early twenties, he has been writing poems and short stories. Fevzi speaks Kurdish, Turkish, and German and is a member of the Kurdish PEN. In 2018, he moved to Germany and now lives with his family in Berlin.
