Workshop Formats
Every Wednesday from 5–7 p.m., we welcome our poetic guests to our open writing workshop in our Berlin-Mitte space at the Offene Schreibwerkstatt, where we write poems together on various themes.
In our professionally guided language workshops, we write collectively in Arabic, Kurdish, Persian, or Ukrainian each time.
All workshops take place at our office: Max-Beer-Str. 17, 10115 Berlin.

"It's hard to have a refugee story behind you," Syrian Rojin Namer told the magazine Neu in Deutschland in 2019. "I rarely find anyone who talks openly about it. I can't express my feelings either. I can only put them on a piece of paper and then read them aloud."

In our workshops, we offer young people with a refugee background a space where they can share their experiences in the safe space of poetry. They are accompanied by professional authors, editors and translators who provide creative inspiration and guide them through the writing process.
