was born in 1993 in the Kurdish city Amed (Diyarbakir) in Turkey. His home city is still under occupation. The eldest of four brothers from a working-class family, he graduated as a laboratory technician from a medical school. Until beginning his studies, he was very politically active. As a result of dedicating himself to politics, he was frequently arrested and multiple proceedings against him remain open. He is currently a wanted man. Rahmetullah Berxwedan has been a political refugee in Europe for the past three years. Since his arrival in Germany, he has been working on articles in the field of sociological analysis and literature.
