Week of Moth­er Tongues

As part of the Week of Mother Tongues, poets from The Poetry Project read texts from our latest anthology “Stay Beside Me and See What Has Happened to Me.” The anthology was published in late 2024 by Verbrecher Verlag in cooperation with PEN Berlin. Their poems in Arabic, Persian, Kurdish, Ukrainian, and German spoke of their experiences, hopes, and challenges, as well as of arrival—and the struggle with one’s mother tongue.

After the reading, the anthology and our other publications were available for purchase at a book table.
