Under the motto “our joy is sacred, and so is our grief,” three poets from our project were invited to read poems in Kurdish and Persian at the Nowruz gathering organized by Hejmo, a Berlin-based community initiative led by migrants. It was an emotional and uplifting evening, filled with delicious food, moving poems, and a variety of musical performances.
