We concluded our 2024 reading year with a second book presentation in a truly special setting: the beautiful Buchkönigin bookstore in Neukölln. PEN Berlin and Verbrecher Verlag extended the invitation, and so many guests arrived that we had to squeeze in tightly.
Surrounded by books, readings were held from our own anthology. Shahzamir Hataki, Abdul Ahmad Pouya, Murtaza Hosseini, Mohamad Zahra, and Rojin Namer presented their texts from "Be beside me and see what has happened to me," along with PEN workshop leader Meral Şimşek. Actress Annette Hoffmann performed the translations, while translator Sandra Hetzl hosted the evening.
