was born in Ukraine, in the Donetsk region. She had always thought of her country as the safest place on earth and had no intentions of leaving. Yet in 33 years, war twice forced her to start a new life, in Kyiv in 2014 and in Berlin in 2022. Two years ago, she was an engineer, journalist, screenwriter, and author. Now she feels empty, like a crumpled piece of paper it is a nightmare to write on, especially if you don’t know what exactly you should write. In Germany, she’s learning the language and is trying to rebuild her life, like a building that has been destroyed by a missile.
