is 33 years old and lives in Berlin. She is originally from the Kurdish city Êlih (Batman). She speaks Kurmancî Kurdish, German and English. Sozdar is a social education worker and a sworn interpreter and translator. She is currently enrolled in a master’s programme in practical research in social work and early education, and is a coordinator for outpatient help for upbringing for the Kurdish social work organisation Yekmal (Association of Parents from Kurdistan in Germany). As the co-founder of a Kurdish-German publishing company she writes and translates children’s and picture books into Kurmancî Kurdish and German, her aim being to promote multilingualism in early childhood education.
