Nature is my friend
Is a wonderful mother who gives life
Still
When I breathe the scent of flowers
A butterfly floats gently from the branches
The colourful trees wilt in autumn
Under their deep blue sky
So I swear that I love her
Yet every breath in this city weighs me down
The sky is blue
But filled with smoke and dingy dust
It seems as if it also wants to finally cry
Nature is still my friend
Still
I carve pencils from her trunks
I become a fish, diving deep into her seas
I breathe through her
but
She is
wasted
polluted
burnt
Despite it all, she gives me wheat
Keeps me safe in the sun’s lap
Becomes my embrace when I am sad
Nature is my friend
